SECURE SMTP
Due to the increased amount of spam being sent, ISP's and hosting companies have taken steps to prevent unauthorized access to email servers.
CALSAC's server is configured to require authentication in order to send email. This requires the mail client to be configured to use authentication when sending email.
A number of ISP's including Shaw Cable have closed port 25, which is the default port for email.
Mail servers also have a secure (SSL) port 465.
This can be changed under the advanced server settings of the mail client.
